Interested in preserving your agricultural land?  The SCCD is accepting applications for the PA Land Preservation Easement Purchase Program till January 15th, 2019.  In order to qualify, your farm must...
  • be located in an Agricultural Security Area
  • be contiguous acreage of at least 50 acres
  • contain at least 50% soils of a capability class I-IV as defined by USDA-NRCS
  • have at least 50% of the property’s total acreage in current use as harvested cropland (excluding timber harvest), pasture, or grazing land.
  • be part of a normal farming operation generating farm income.

Curious if it's still possible to apply for the PA Land Preservation Easement Purchase Program in 2023 the same way as described in the 2019 article. Any updates on the application process would be helpful!
