Environmental education has always been one of the prime focuses of the Susquehanna County Conservation District. For over 20 years, Envirothon has been an important facet of that effort. Envirothon is a competition between teams of high school students who compete in five different focus areas: Aquatics, Wildlife, Soils, Forestry, and a Current Environmental Topic, which changes each year. This competition not only increases the knowledge level of the students but inspires many to pursue careers in natural resources. The competition continues to grow yearly including over one hundred and sixty students from five Susquehanna County schools. Such an endeavor requires financial resources. The Susquehanna County Conservation District and the Board of Directors appreciate all donors' generous gifts to the Envirothon program.
