The Susquehanna County  Conservation District  provides information and technical assistance to assist people and communities in the wise use of their natural resources.

Multi-County Water Quality Action Plan
Susquehanna County has partnered with Lackawanna and Luzerne County to hire a consultant to assist in the development of Countywide Action Plans aimed at achieving Pennsylvania’s water quality goals in the Phase 3 Chesapeake Bay WIP. Interested consultants can download the Request for Proposals below.                    District operations curtailed

In response to direction from Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf and the Department of Environmental Protection, the Susquehanna County Conservation District will operate on a limited basis until further notice.

No field work
  • Staff will be working remotely but will respond to emergencies as needed.
​

Plan Reviews
  • Plans can continue to be submitted to our office by delivery or email (a dropbox is provided by the entrance of the SCCD building). 
​

Staff Accessibility
  • The staff will be accessible via email as well as telephone.
  • You can leave an email message on our general email address:
    soil@suscondistrict.org messages left here will be forwarded to the appropriate person. This email will be checked once an hour, Monday through Friday, during regular business hours (8-4:30). 
  • You can also email our staff directly. If you don't know the person direct email address you can go to the contact page on our website. These emails will be checked periodically throughout the day.
  • To leave a message, please call 570-782-2105. Voice messages will be checked once an hour, Monday through Friday, during regular business hours (8-4:30).
