Susquehanna County Conservation District


"Preserving and protecting the resources of Susquehanna County"

The Susquehanna County  Conservation District  provides information and technical assistance to assist people and communities in the wise use of their natural resources.


                   District operations curtailed

In response to direction from Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf and the Department of Environmental Protection, the Susquehanna County Conservation District will operate on a limited basis until further notice.

Office Closure-
The SCCD office is closed to the public. Staff is working remotely and on a in-office rotating schedule. Meeting will be conducted remotely to the greatest extent possible and field operations will be conducted following safety protocols.
PUBLIC ACCESS WILL BE ALLOWED BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

E & S Plan Reviews & NPDES Permit processing- ​
District staff will continue to process plan reviews and permit applications following the guidance established by DEP since the start of the pandemic.
Hard copies can be submitted to our office via mail, electronically or dropped off in the drop box located at the front entrance of the district building.

Staff Accessibility-
Our staff is working remotely and on an in-office rotating schedule. Staff is accessible via email & telephone. Email is the preferred method of contact.  You can email staff directly, their contact info can be found at the top of our home screen under the staff tab.
Or you can send a general email to soil@suscondistrict.org. Emails sent to this address will be forwarded to the appropriate persons. Emails will be checked regularly Monday through Friday, during regular business hours (8:00-4:30).
Our main phone number is 570-782-2105. Please leave a message and we will return your call.  Voice messages will be checked regularly Monday through Friday, during regular business hours (8:00-4:30).

Events-
Due to the most recent health guidelines all meetings will be held virtually and any upcoming events will follow Covid-19 social distance guidelines. Public access will be allowed by appointment only.
