Feb 29 Project “Food, Land, and People” Educator Workshop will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the PA Dept. of Agriculture Building, Route 92, Tunkhannock. Curriculum materials and Act 48 credits provided. This workshop is sponsored by the PA Dept. of Education Office of Environment and Ecology, and co-hosted by the Conservation Districts of Susquehanna, Wyoming, and Luzerne Counties and is open to all. April 26 Susquehanna County Conservation District will host its first Rain Barrel Workshop from 9:00 a.m. to Noon. April 27 - May 4 Help us celebrate Water Stewardship Week. This year’s theme is “Water Is Life.” Conservation Districts across the country help landowners, homeowners, and businesses learn how to conserve water, from simple lifestyle adjustments to large scale projects. June 17–18 The Susquehanna County Conservation District will host a 2-day Environmentally Sensitive Maintenance training from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This training is required by applicants to be eligible for Dirt & Gravel Road Program road maintenance project grants.
