Feb 29         Project “Food, Land, and People” Educator Workshop will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the PA Dept. of Agriculture Building, Route 92, Tunkhannock.  Curriculum materials and Act 48 credits provided.  This workshop is sponsored by the PA Dept. of Education Office of Environment and Ecology, and co-hosted by the Conservation Districts of Susquehanna, Wyoming, and Luzerne Counties and is open to all.  Registration is $35 and includes the 950 page Project “Food, Land, and People” Resources for Learning curriculum guide and lunch.  Call Matt Purdy at (570) 278-4600 ext. 285 for more information.  Link to registration flyer.

April 26        Susquehanna County Conservation District will host its first Rain Barrel Workshop from 9:00 a.m. to Noon.  Participants will receive water conservation information and a rain barrel to take home.  For more information contact Watershed Specialist Kathy Blaisure at (570) 278-4600 ext 289.
